Resistor plugs are standard to reduce TV and radio interference from the energy radiated by the plug wire. Doesn't change the heat range and may help if the plug gets slightly carbon fouled to get the bike started so it can burn it(the carbon) off. If you and everyone else didn't have resistor plugs and wires on your cage engine, you wouldn't be able to hear the radio dut to the static. Plus if you were on a TV antenna, each vehicle going by would display a pattern on the screen. Lovely thought. Max
